Johor DT owner Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim has labelled Barcelona’s outstanding 6-1 win over Paris Saint Germain last night as the greatest game of football in history.
The Catalans pulled off the impossible against PSG, given that they were down 0-4 from the first leg. But a 3-0 lead within 50 minutes of last night’s second leg affair gave them hope, until Cavani notched an away goal for the Parisians to make it 5-3 on aggregate.
But Luis Enrique’s men turned things around in stunning fashion by scoring three dramatic goals in the last five minutes of the match to complete arguably one of the finest comebacks in Champions League history.
“The best game in the history of football. Congatulation to both team, Barcelona and Paris St. Germain. Congratulation also to both of my good friends, Joan Laporta and Nasser Al-Khelaif,” TMJ said via Johor Southern Tigers’ Facebook page after the match.
The Johor Crown Prince met PSG’s Nasser Al-Khelaif in Doha back in February 2016, before going on to meet ex-Barcelona president Joan Laporta in Spain. A few months later, Laporta himself dropped by Johor Bharu to visit JDT’s facilities and he become the first individual to be inducted in as a ‘Life Honorary Member’ of the club.
